We’ve had an incredibly busy term here at the 19th Bromley Scout Group. The Beavers have been completing their Skills Challenge badge as well thinking about Global issues and how they can make a difference. They’ve also had fun at Lego Builder day and on an Easter Egg Hunt in the woods.
The Cubs have also been working on their Skills Challenge badge and focussed on pioneering skills. They’ve made tea for the leaders, pancakes for the Scouts and helped the Beavers with their games.
The Scouts have been completing a number of badges over the term and we have awarded our first Chief Scout Gold for a while. One Scout who has attended almost every weekly session and additional camps and activities has completed 9 Challenge badges and over a dozen activity badges in just two years. She has also helped out with Beavers during that time and was awarded a Jack Petchy Achievement Award. We have a couple of our older Scouts who are near to completing all their challenge badges and should also be awarded their Chief Scout’s Gold next term.
To celebrate the end of term the Beavers played games and took part in an Easter Egg Hunt organised by our Young Leader who has been helping to run the Beavers since moving up to Explorers. The Cubs joined in with the Easter Egg Hunt. The Scouts made pizza, played games and said farewell to their Patrol Leader who is moving onto Explorers.
We’ve welcomed new Beavers and Cubs and have said goodbye to some of our members who have moved out of the area or moved up to Explorers.
Thanks you to everybody who has helped out at the 19th Bromley Scout Group over the term, especially our Leaders who make it all possible.
We’ll be back on 1 May for an exciting action packed Summer Term.
