Beavers Spring Equinox

This week was the Spring Equinox, the time when the sun passes over the equator moving from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere and the North Pole starts to lean towards the sun again… which means longer days and warmer weather.

Using our Orrery  we made in November we looked at the Earth and the Sun and what it meant including where was the equator, what is the northern hemisphere and what are the poles.

We then talked about what we normally see in spring such as flowers and chicks and Easter Eggs.

The Beavers then made little Spring boxes with chicks and mini eggs.
